Why India

Reasons students choose India

01

Affordable

Private university tuition after scholarship often costs less than a private university in Dhaka once you compare the full degree.

02

No IELTS for most

HSC English marks or an English-medium certificate is enough at most private universities.

03

Close to home

A short flight or a bus ride. Families can visit, and you can come home for Eid.

04

Familiar life

Similar food, climate and culture. In Kolkata, you'll even study in a Bangla-speaking city.

05

Scholarships for Bangladeshis

Many universities give 20–50% tuition waivers specifically for Bangladeshi HSC results.

06

Recognised degrees

UGC-recognised, NAAC-accredited universities with industry tie-ups and placement cells.

India FAQ

Questions we hear about India

Ask anything else on WhatsApp.

Is the Indian student visa open for Bangladeshis now?
India suspended most visas for Bangladeshis after August 2024. Student and medical visas returned first through limited IVAC slots, and tourist visas reopened on 28 June 2026. Slots and rules can change, so we check the IVAC notices before every application.
Do I need IELTS?
Most private universities accept HSC English marks or an English-medium certificate. IELTS helps for some programs and scholarships, but it is usually not required.
Is an Indian degree valid in Bangladesh?
Degrees from UGC-recognised Indian universities are widely accepted. For professional degrees like Pharmacy, Nursing or Engineering, check registration rules with the relevant Bangladeshi council before you enrol, and we'll help you do that.
Can I work part-time in India?
No. The student visa doesn't allow paid work. Internships that are part of your course are allowed, so plan your full budget in advance.
Can I go by road?
Yes. Many students from Chattogram and Khulna travel through Benapole–Petrapole to Kolkata, then by train or flight to Delhi or Punjab.
What about MBBS in India?
MBBS has its own entrance and eligibility rules for foreign nationals. Book a session and we'll explain the current route for your case.
