Does the US visa bond apply to students?
No. The bond introduced for Bangladeshis on 21 January 2026 covers B1/B2 visitor visas only.
Is Bangladesh on the 2026 travel ban list?
Bangladesh isn't restricted for F-1 student visas. Immigrant visa (green card) issuance for Bangladeshis has been paused since January 2026.
Do I need the GRE?
Many universities have dropped it, but it can still help for funding and top programs.
Can I work during my studies?
Up to 20 hours a week on campus during semesters, and CPT internships linked to your course.
